About Kirsty As a BACP Registered Accredited Integrative Counsellor I aim to provide a warm, accepting environment that is confidential and safe so that individuals feel able to talk through areas of emotional and personal difficulty.
I have extensive experience working long and short term over the last 8years with a large range of mental health issues and personal struggles: Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, OCD, Phobia's, Trauma, PTSD, Self Harm, Bereavement & Loss, Long-term Health Diagnosis, Domestic Violence, Relationship issues, Low self esteem & Confidence.
I tailor my skills to the client's needs. I work short term for the NHS with clients that suffer from Anxiety & Depression. Results and changes can be made quickly by using a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) approach. This way of working does not suit everyone however, so working longer term focusing on the client's needs and building on our relationship to facilitate change and healing may be more beneficial.

Providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space to feel heard and understood while exploring difficulties and issues is paramount.
We will meet for an initial session to discuss what you would like to achieve from your counselling and whether short or long term is appropriate. Sessions will be for 50 mins on a weekly basis, preferably on the same day, same time, unless this is not convenient for you. |
Thought Field Therapy Tapping therapy50min £45.00

Along side my counselling skills I can offer Thought Field Therapy (TFT) which is a Tapping Technique. This works well with Phobias, Anxiety, Fear, Trauma, Negative Thoughts & Self Beliefs or even Jet Lag.
I ask you to think about your issue, then once you are thinking about 'it' I will ask you to score the severity 10-0. Then together we will tap lightly with your fingers on areas around the face, collarbone, or fingers. Once we have completed the appropriate Algorithm I will ask you to get back into the Thought again and once more score how it feels. We will continue until the feelings/emotions attached to that Thought have diminished.
This technique works like magic, experience it to believe it!

Clinical Hypnotherapy benefits those that do not wish to engage in the longer process of counselling. l spend sometime discovering what you would like to work on through hypnosis, then I will talk you through a guided relaxation and visualisation, you will hear everything that I say to you and will be aware of your surroundings. While in this very relaxed state your subconscious mind is open to suggestion, so some very powerful work can take place. You will be in control throughout this process. Hypnotherapy works very well for many issues from anxiety, phobias, stop smoking, reduce weight, pain management and confidence to mention just a few.

Kirsty's Cancellation Policy
Any cancellations made 48 hours before your appointment will be fully refunded.
Cancellations made before 24 hours of your appointment will be allowed a 50% refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will be fully charged. If you do not turn up for your appointment without cancelling beforehand you will be charged the full amount.
