There are many methods of meditation. Some very active, some totally passive and everything in between.
We recommend trying a few until you discover 'the one' for you!
The basic premise is that whatever technique you use, eventually you are able to observe the mind and body settle until they evenutually drop into a balanced state of awareness in which no one aspect of the self dominates.
Once in this peaceful state, the bodies natural healing mechanisms are activated. Stress simply ceases. Emotions dissipate. The body gradually, sometimes quickly, heals. Energy levels increase. Coping mechanisms improve. Overall balance is easier to maintain. the list of benefits are endless.
It is said that to maintain wellbeing we should meditate for 20 minutes a day. Busy people - 1 hour!!!!
