Therapeutic Soundbath Saturday 14th December 2019 7:00pm-8:30pm 16.50 - An opportunity to experience Sound Therapy in a group setting. I will help you explore an issue, challenge, problem, something getting in the way of the life you want to live. No sharing or sharing of story necessary. Then lie down and receive the soundbath with Himalayan Bowls, Gongs and afterward in and from that special state of consciousness, how to move forward. The Soundbath itself is designed to be very relaxing and meditative, to induce a state of consciousness where you may have dream type experiences, colours or complex imagery, feel bliss, receive insights or a new perspective as well as a feeling of deep relaxation, improved pain control, reduced anxiety and more connected to yourself and your life. Apart from the deep nourishing relaxation and the enjoyment of being bathed in sound, benefits people often experience are increased sense of self awareness, feeling more connected to self and life, feeling cleansed or clearer, reduced stress and anxiety, help with pain control. During this sort of sound work, as the brainwaves entrain to a slower rhythm, we enter a state of consciousness akin to meditation where stress hormones lower, blood pressure and heart rate drop and the brain's sodium and potassium levels can be balanced. Are any of the statements below true for you? If yes then this course is for you! I feel completely confused about food and it has become a minefield. I suffer with acid reflux.. its so uncomfortable! I lack energy and feel sleepy after eating. I want to exercise but never get around to it. I frequently feel bloated and/or suffer from gas. I have noticed that my thoughts circle in worry or negativity about me. I feel bad about myself. I make excuses not to make any positive changes to my life and really I want to change! I like the thought of meditating but have no idea how to do it. I have eczema or sore itchy skin and its getting me down. I have sinus problems and sound like I have a cold often. I would like to loose a few pounds but can't seem to shift any weight. I want to feel good from the inside out and have a more positive outlook on life. I understand that we are bombarded with conflicting information regarding food and exercise leaving us with the feeling of why bother. Often we know that what we are doing isn't working and we are not feeling good, but we lack the information and drive to make any changes because we do not know how to make the changes or where to start. I have created this 8 week course based upon my work as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, Yoga Teacher and multi trained therapist just for you! I have listened to many people on a 1-2-1 basis and created this course to work in a group format, so that we can support one another each week. This course is not for the spectator and only for people who really want to make a difference to their health and wellbeing and make a positive change to how they think and feel. Our body can cope silently for a long time before we become symptomatic and uncomfortable, if your already feeling any of the above issues, it really is time to start making a change in the direct of health and wellness. Each week is underpinned by the Nutrition programme with its roots in Food Intolerances and what works for each of us as individuals and having our weekly talk and listen session. We will also be discussing and practising various subjects on health and wellbeing, including Yoga, meditation and High vibe thinking, which will give us growth opportunities each week and how to build them into our daily lives. The Gathering Friday 17th January 2020 7:30pm-11:00pm Informal FREE Guided meditation An opportunity to come together with holistic minded folk, for a free, informal get together. Drink tea, share nibbles, have a nose around The HolistiCentre (or ask for a tour!), before settling in for a guided meditation at 8:00pm (Please arrive before 8 as we close the door to prevent disturbances). This gathering the multi talented, huge hearted Haya will be offering a guided movement meditation. Once we're all relaxed, calm and centered, we allow opportunity for sharing any ideas, inspiration or stories to unfold. If you have a meditation, poem, story or guided practise you'd like to share this is your chance! Afterwards Jo and I will lead some Bhajan music, which is devotional in its nature, so please do bring your instruments and join in. Usually a handful of HolistiCentre therapists attend, so this is also your chance to meet them. This evening is hosted by me, Angela Oakes. Both a therapist and Yoga Teacher so you're in good hands!
