Psychotherapy treats emotional and mental conditions. It usually involves talking with a trained therapist, but sometimes other methods may be used – for example, art, music, drama and movement.

It can treat a range of mental issues, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, trauma and many more.

Sessions can be 1-1, with couples, or families may choose joint therapy sessions together.

You will meet your therapist regularly, usually once a week, for several months, or sometimes even years. Individual sessions last about 50 minutes, but group sessions are often a bit longer.
